MANIFESTATION: How are we supposed to live?
We are called to copy the radical loving example of Jesus.
Moving from Good to Revolutionary.
Part 4 of our Manifestation
- Commencement: How and why a good and moral life is just the start.
- Backwards: Behavior modification does not make a disciple of Jesus; it makes a religious convert.
- Motivation: Good can focus on external behaviors while ignore the heart that motivates the actions.
- Boring: The world is full of good, boring people, yet Jesus was radically different and the opposite of boring.
- Cultivation: The difference between a Intellectual and a believer/follower.
- Intellectual: If our faith stops at only a understanding, we can agree with doctrine without being transformed.
- Humanitarian: Without good deeds flowing from faith in Jesus, a complete view of rightness is impossible.
- Believer/ Follower: Following Jesus will be viewed as radical when we try to copy Jesus in thought and action.
- Conflict: The way of Jesus is all consuming.
- Proportionate: Our interest, involvement and intensity are directly proportionate to how radical we think it is to follow Jesus.
- Transforming: What it means to follow Jesus will not only alter how we see the world but will continually transform actions.
- Ever-growing: It doesn’t matter how long we have followed Jesus, our faith in Jesus can continually grow and excite us.
- Culmination: Following Jesus will look radical to others
- Questioning: Many will wonder and ask when we try to follow Jesus’ teachings and example.
- Testimony: When our example appears radical we have rapport built to tell our story.
- Model: Our goal is that we can attempt to model an example, that others can follow, that point to Jesus.
